People are just browsing...

I see this everywhere. Especially on writers. Writers are doing their best to write an article, and people are just browsing through to find "the core."

When you read an article, do it word by word, or else, you will not have the power to understand what the writer is putting there.

I was doing this in the past. I would just take an article, read the headline, the first paragraph and then the end of it.

And I was more confused than ever afterward. Why would you read articles if you don't like it? Let someone else do it instead and focus yourself on videos if these are for you.

Text today has a competitor today. The video content. The video seems to digest faster, but if we don't read, our brain will not be trained.

Think about before the Internet, there were only physical books to read and there were very hard to find a good book.

Why? Because of the restrictions in that period of time. Today we have the information at the fingertips yet we find very little time to read.

And I'm very disappointed by this. People don't read anymore as they used to do. That is because reading is a slow process.

We prefer just to browse back and forth scrolling the text, but unable to understand it just because we don't give enough time reading it.

It doesn't mean that text is dead. Reading still has its power, but only a few people are able to be patient.

And I congratulate these people. I call them "the elite of readers". Why? Because they are taking the time to read every word the writer is putting out there and they have the courage to dissect every expression they see.

They are not like "the browsers", who don't even have the patience to understand what the text has to say.

This could be a major problem in the internet marketing world. Because no matter how much you write, you won't get the exposure you need and the readers you need.

But don't worry. Keep writing and people will come. Just get started, get used to it and you will succeed.

Just make sure you don't go into "the browsers" category because you will get more confused than you have expected.

The text has it's flow, from start to bottom. If you just read only one side or sentence, you won't understand anything and you are wasting your time for nothing.

You either read it or not. It's a choice that you take. Choose wisely.
