You are John. Now John has a very high-quality content about gardening. John starts to create videos and posts about gardening and has millions of views and comments.

Then what happens? Sponsors like Amazon or Alibaba and other advertisers come in with offers. And John starts to accept all the ads and puts them in his videos or articles to earn money.

John becomes some expendable brand that anyone can buy cheaply. That is brand prostitution. How do I know? Because I was like John in the past.

For a penny, I would promote anyone with any product. Until I realized how cheap I was.

How I corrected this mistake?

I treated my online business as a girlfriend. I searched for the qualities a girlfriend must have:

- understanding

- not crazy

- polite
